Assistant Accountant Compilation Practice

As an Assistant Accountant in our compilation practice, you are the fixed point of contact for our clients and support them with their financial reporting, administration, and tax obligations. You prepare annual accounts and tax returns, analyze figures, and identify opportunities for improvement. By building strong relationships of trust, you become their indispensable financial partner. Your analyses and advice help clients determine their course. For example, you might advise an established client on a possible expansion or help a start-up with the restructuring of their financial administration. In this way, you ensure that your clients are compliant, audit ready & resilient!

You work independently on assignments, but also collaborate closely with colleagues within the team. You plan and prioritize your activities across multiple clients, monitor budgets, and ensure that everything runs smoothly and within the agreed timeframe.

• You are responsible for the compilation of the annual accounts for your own client portfolio.
• You provide advice and answer complex questions from the client.
• You analyze financial data and identify deviations and opportunities.
• You advise clients on financial reporting, points for improvement, and risks.
• You prepare income tax and corporate tax returns and VAT returns, and you prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• You coordinate & monitor activities for various clients.
• You keep your professional knowledge up-to-date and actively share this with your colleagues.
• You ensure compliance with laws and regulations, professional rules (NBA), and our quality standards.

• You have a relevant completed HBO degree (e.g., Accountancy or Business Economics)
• You have several years of work experience in a similar position within the industry
• Willingness to follow a post-bachelor program towards AA is a plus
• You deliver high-quality work, can approach and solve problems in a systematic and thoughtful manner, and have a proactive attitude
• You are able to listen actively to the wishes and concerns of the client and know how to come up with creative solutions to meet those needs
