The role

What you'll do

As a team, you are responsible for the 24-hour performance of the line in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and costs.
Not all VeLOCity processes and tools are fully set up yet; you will make an active contribution to setting up, implementing, and further developing these. Such as, for example, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, Defect Handling, Breakdown Elimination.
You spend 80% of your working time on the shop floor to further develop the shifts.
You design, implement, and maintain systems to collect and analyze process data.
You develop and improve preventive maintenance processes for the assigned line.

You lead the Unified Problem Solving process and, together with cross-functional teams, coordinate the structural solution of recurring breakdowns.

What do you bring?

MBO+ working and thinking level, for example a completed education or relevant work experience.
Experience in a maintenance department in a production environment.
Good oral and written communication skills, in both Dutch and English.
You enjoy the fact that not everything is yet set in stone; no two days are the same and this requires flexibility and the ability to switch gears effectively.
As a team player, you know how to bring others along and inspire them to achieve the best result together.
You are energetic, driven, and always looking for opportunities to improve.
You can switch gears quickly and work in a structured manner, even in a dynamic and changing environment.

About the company & team

At the Kruiningen 1 location, we have recently started with VeLOCity: a program from the US that helps us maintain and continuously improve our production systems and develop the knowledge and skills of our colleagues. An important part of this is the Line Structure Team: a multidisciplinary team where production and engineering come together, focusing on the continuous improvement and securing of the production process, among other things through standards and training.

The Line Structure Team is largely active on the shop floor and focuses on the production and packing line. Together with the shifts, the team analyzes losses, sets priorities, and realizes structural improvements, which are secured through adapted standards and training. VeLOCity and the Line Structure Team are currently operating on one packing line. With a view to deployment on multiple lines, we now want to further expand the team.

The team is managed by the Line Lead and consists of 4 employees: two with a production background and two with a technical background. In this setup, one pair, consisting of someone from production and someone from engineering, focuses on one line.

It is a day shift position and is classified in scale 9.
