Director, Consulting

• 9-12 years of experience leading real estate strategy assignments for real estate users, preferably at a Big 4 firm, strategy consultancy, or specialized real estate or workplace practice
• In-depth expertise in Portfolio Optimisation and/or Target Operating Model design; experience with workplace strategy is a plus
• Demonstrable success in winning assignments and closing deals - not just in executing them
• Credibility with stakeholders at the executive and VP level in complex matrix organizations
• Structured problem-solving ability, strong financial and analytical skills, and persuasive communication at the executive level
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field - for example, Architecture, real estate, economics, business administration, economic geography, Public Administration, or a technical study; a master's or MBA is preferred
• Sector knowledge - for example, of life sciences, industry, financial services, or the public sector - is a plus

Director, Consulting - Amsterdam (Hybrid)

Help determine how leading organizations deploy their real estate

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Director to further grow JLL Consulting in the Netherlands. You will lead complex assignments for multinationals and mid-sized Dutch companies, win new business, and help build the team that executes them with the support of JLL's global consulting platform and colleagues from Transaction Management, Project Management, Facilities Management, and Brokerage.

This is a visible role with real autonomy. You will start as a senior Individual Contributor: leading assignments and coaching project teams, with a clear path toward building and leading a local team as the practice grows.

Leading assignments within Portfolio Optimisation and Target Operating Model design

• Portfolio Optimisation - help clients form a real estate portfolio that aligns with where their organization is headed: location strategy, consolidation, post-merger and acquisition integration, and cost optimization. For example: helping a global industrial multinational align its portfolio with a changing operating model, or guiding the location choice for a new headquarters in the Netherlands.
• Target Operating Model design - redesign how real estate and facilities functions are organized, governed, procured, and measured. For example: reshaping the role and structure of the real estate organization of a large life sciences company.
• Workplace Experience - connect, where it strengthens the business case, choices regarding portfolio and organization with how people work and what their workplace offers them.
• Together with senior stakeholders, sharpen the definition of the issue and determine scope and approach
• Translate complex data into clear options, business cases, and recommendations
• Facilitate workshops and decision-making sessions at the executive level
• Take ownership of the quality, planning, budget, and margin of your assignments
• Utilize data, analytics, and AI tools to make our advice faster and sharper
• Contribute approximately $750K-$1M annually to revenue through new clients and growth within existing accounts
• Build a pipeline in the Dutch market, and write and present winning proposals
• Turn individual projects into long-term client relationships
• Open doors for colleagues within JLL and involve them when clients need an integrated solution
• Coach and develop the consultants in your projects
• Help shape our methodologies, frameworks, and thought leadership
• Bring JLL's international expertise to Dutch clients - and bring Dutch insights back to our global network
