• You have completed a Master's degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a tax advisory practice is a plus.

• You command at least the Dutch and English languages, and all other languages are a plus.
• Experience in the form of student jobs or internships is a plus.

Your new job | About your most important responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant Family-owned business & Private Wealth (Private), you will be part of the Private team, which is part of the International Tax & Transaction Services (ITTS) service line. Within the Private department, we advise various types of companies (including (inter)national family businesses, family offices, scale-ups, and non-profit organizations) as well as (ultra) high-net-worth individuals who, for example, are shareholders in the aforementioned companies. In doing so, we work closely with specialists from other disciplines within Tax. We build long-term advisory relationships with our clients and help them with various types of tax issues. In this practice, in addition to corporate income tax and personal income tax, you will also advise on gift and inheritance tax, dividend tax, and the application of tax treaties. In the morning, you might advise on the application of the reinvestment reserve or the participation exemption, while in the afternoon you guide a business succession. As a Senior Consultant, you are actively involved in the advisory process; from performing technical tax analyses to writing the advice. You have contact with your clients, tax colleagues in the Netherlands and abroad, and tax authorities. We love a challenge: unraveling complex substantive issues while simultaneously finding the right solution for the client.

• You advise and engage in substantive discussions regarding the tax structure that best fits the client's profile. In doing so, you not only assist clients with the daily tax aspects of their choices, but you also think along with the team regarding strategic decisions that are important for their business operations.
• Developing and implementing innovative tax solutions to comply with local and international tax legislation.
• Leading project teams and managing the execution of tax advice.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients to provide them with up-to-date insights and advice.
• Collaborating with other departments and EY offices abroad to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Taking responsibility for keeping track of new laws and regulations and translating them into opportunities for our clients.
