The role

As a Customer Service Specialist, you are the first point of contact for customers and the key link between the customer and transport. You translate customer inquiries into concrete solutions and ensure that transports via barge and rail are well-arranged.

The difference with a traditional customer service role? You think beyond just service. You actively seek the best solution for the customer, think commercially, and help build new transport possibilities.

You work with a growing number of customer inquiries - from price requests to finding the best solution for the customer. The role requires initiative, curiosity, and a sincere interest in how transport operations work.

What you'll do

You are the first point of contact for customers and handle inquiries from A to Z
You prepare quotes and translate customer inquiries into concrete transport solutions
You book container transports and coordinate with internal teams, terminals, and external transport partners
You actively seek the best solution for the customer, even when it is not immediately obvious
You coordinate with various parties (internal and external) to find capacity and possibilities
You keep customers continuously informed and ensure clear communication
You identify opportunities for new routes, customers, or commercial improvements
You solve problems quickly and pragmatically when transports do not go as planned
You contribute to a professional and customer-oriented way of working within the team
