The role

International trade is becoming increasingly complex. Changing customs legislation, geopolitical developments, stricter compliance requirements, and digitalization present organizations with new challenges. At the same time, opportunities are arising to organize trade flows more intelligently, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

As a Senior Customs & Trade Consultant at Customs Support Group, you help organizations turn those challenges into concrete solutions. You combine in-depth knowledge of customs and international trade with strategic insight, commercial sense, and the ambition to make a real impact. You advise national and international companies, lead challenging consultancy projects, and develop innovative solutions together with clients. Not a traditional advisory role, but a position where substantive expertise, entrepreneurship, and actual implementation come together.

What you'll do

You are a trusted advisor to clients ranging from ambitious SMEs to international multinationals. You move easily between complex customs issues, strategic decision-making and operational improvements. Among other things, you will be involved in:

  • Strategic customs advice: advising on international trade structures, customs arrangements, tariff classification, origin, customs value, and optimization of customs costs.

  • Customs & Trade Compliance: guiding organizations with AEO, permits, internal controls, risk management, and compliance with international trade legislation.

  • Business Transformation: analyzing and improving customs processes, governance, and international supply chains, translating regulations into practical solutions.

  • Digitalization & Innovation: advising on the use of technology, data, automation, and AI within customs and trade processes.

  • Project Management: independently leading complex advisory trajectories, from analysis and advice to implementation and results.

  • Business Development: recognizing commercial opportunities, developing client propositions, and supporting the expansion of sustainable client relationships.

  • Thought Leadership: sharing expertise through training, workshops, presentations, and knowledge sessions for clients and colleagues.

What do you bring?

You are an experienced customs professional who combines substantive depth with strategic and commercial insight. You have a solid professional foundation and are ready for a role with more responsibility, independence, and influence.

  • An entrepreneurial attitude and a sense for commercial opportunities.

More important than finding a specific career path, we value your expertise, professional maturity and ability to further help clients.

What do we offer you?

  • Hybrid working.

  • Modern IT - and home-working facilities.

  • A professional, engaged and specialist team where knowledge-sharing and collaboration are central.
