Financial Accountant

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Economics, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar field.
• Relevant work experience in financial accounting, audit, finance operations, or a similar financial environment. Experience with Workday, payroll, banking and payment processes, or financial data is a plus.
• Experience with general ledger administration, month-end closing, balance sheet specifications, or financial reconciliations.
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written. You also possess sufficient English for collaboration, documentation, and contact with auditors.
• A good foundation in spreadsheets, such as Excel or Google Sheets.

• You check your own work, identify illogical figures, and investigate discrepancies until you find the cause.
• You coordinate easily, ask follow-up questions when information is missing, and take responsibility.

As a Financial Accountant, you will work together with your colleagues to keep Coolblue's financial administration in order. You will contribute to the month-end closing, process and check bookings, prepare balance sheet specifications, and investigate discrepancies in financial data. Additionally, you will be the point of contact for a number of financial processes. Think of payroll bookings, payments, bank transactions, and accounting for specific domains. You will work together with Financial Control, Finance Operations, Business Control, and colleagues from operations. You will also help to make finance processes smarter. • Coordinate the month-end closing for operational finance teams and domains.
