DevOps Engineer Senior

• At least 6 years of experience in a DevOps or software development environment.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestrators such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, including managing complete pipelines.
• Practical programming skills (preferably Python) to develop maintainable automation code - not just scripts.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible or similar).
• Knowledge of containers (Docker or Podman).
• Good communication skills and the ability to speak at various levels, up to board level.
• A proactive attitude and the drive to continuously improve.

• A gross salary in the range of 4,250.- euro and 6,500.- euro, excluding 8% holiday allowance and excluding a mobility allowance of at least 850.- euro per month (based on a 40-hour contract).

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you are responsible for the design, construction, and end‑to‑end ownership of DevOps automation solutions. You define DevOps architectures, set up CI/CD pipelines, and standardize workflows and solutions across teams. Additionally, you guide and coach engineers in applying modern DevOps principles, automation standards, and code quality, and you actively contribute to increasing engineering maturity within teams and organizations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and building complete CI/CD pipelines from scratch, including standards for builds, testing, releases, and deployments
• Setting up scalable and modular Infrastructure‑as‑Code architectures (primarily with Ansible) for consistent and repeatable environments
• Designing and developing automation frameworks that increase reliability, quality, and efficiency in the development process
• Standardizing DevOps tooling, documentation, and workflows across multiple teams to increase engineering maturity
• Coaching and guiding engineers in DevOps principles, code quality, automation patterns, and best practices
