Dual or part-time student – Logistics

The Logistics department is characterized by transition in the coming years: the production of gas boilers at this location will be gradually phased out over the coming years and replaced by a configuration center where system solutions are assembled upon customer request. This change means that the logistics department will also be adapted accordingly in the coming years.

The logistics department is responsible for demand planning, procurement and inventory management, customer logistics (order management and transport planning) and all physical logistics activities at the location: receiving, put-away/picking, shipping and warehousing. With a team of about 23 colleagues, we ensure every day that our customers receive their goods. The various activities are housed in an operational (LOM) and a planning department (LOP).

Due to changes in the Dutch heating market, the logistics operation faces major changes: a changing portfolio, changing customer demand and a changing organization: developments to which the processes and the warehouse must be adapted.

You will join the logistics department team, where you will get the chance to gain experience in both the physical logistics processes and the planning processes. With your fresh perspective and acquired theoretical knowledge, you will support the logistics departments and engineers in implementing the changes and work on improving the processes. Additionally, you have the chance to gain operational experience by supporting the departments.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing logistics activities within the departments
• Participating in (and possibly leading small) improvement projects
• Analyzing logistics processes

For this position, we are looking for an HBO part-time or dual student who still has at least 2 years of study remaining. Preference is given to the study of Logistics/Logistics Management or Business Administration. Additionally, you are an enthusiastic person who is proactive and communicative. You have good analytical skills, master the English language (German is a plus), and you have advanced knowledge of and experience with Excel.
