Self-working Chef Kebaya

...because you want your passion to be your job.

Self-working Chef? Then you are more than welcome at Kebaya at Schiphol. But only if you would rather read your role as 'Self-working Collaborative Chef', because that is the type of chef we at HMSHost warmly welcome. Such a chef who is always there for teammates even when things get tough.

What will you do as an Independent Working Cook?
Prepare meals yourself. And help starting colleagues to prepare those same meals. Although we use fixed recipes, that requires necessary practice from them. And a pinch of patience from you, because not everyone has the fine cutting work in their fingers immediately. It is up to you to set an inspiring example and continuously monitor quality. Does everything smell, look, and taste the way you think it should? Then the plate may go out with the service. If not, you intervene, kindly pointing out areas for improvement to your colleague. Furthermore, we expect you to keep things clean and safe and to transfer your hospitable, collaborative mindset to all your colleagues.

Why work at HMSHost?

Kebaya is our most beautiful and largest Asian restaurant at Schiphol. From Indonesian to Vietnamese and from Japanese to Chinese. At Kebaya, we have the most multicultural mix of people and dishes, both in the kitchen and in service. Curious about the dishes being served? Click here.
