Shift Manager

HMSHost is looking for a Logistics Shift Manager for the operation at Schiphol! Are you a natural leader who maintains an overview, switches gears quickly, and gets energy from a dynamic working environment? Then we are looking for you.

• You have experience in logistics, hospitality, retail, or another operational environment
• You are able to motivate, coach, and direct a team
• You keep a cool head and know how to set priorities when the pressure increases
• You work in a structured manner, think in a solution-oriented way, and take responsibility
• You are available full-time (38 hours per week) and flexibly deployable, including on weekends
• You can start from 05:00 AM and do not find waking up early to be a problem
• You enjoy contributing operationally when necessary

What will you do as a Logistics Shift Manager at HMSHost at Schiphol?
As a Logistics Shift Manager, you not only lead the team but are also visible on the work floor. You like to roll up your sleeves yourself and support where necessary. The work can be physically challenging, but that is exactly what makes it varied and dynamic. No two days are the same and sitting still is practically not an option.
Your duties include:

• Directing, guiding, and coaching logistics employees during the shift
• Planning and distributing tasks within the team
• Monitoring the progress, quality, and safety of the operation
• Identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks
• Ensuring a neat, safe, and efficient working environment
• Collaborating with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders
• Reporting irregularities and ensuring a good handover to the next shift

Good to know
Because you will be working at Schiphol, you need an airport pass. We will arrange this for you, but to be eligible, you must have been continuously registered with a Dutch municipality for the past eight years. After your application, a security screening follows which takes approximately four weeks. After that, you can get started.
