What will you do as an Assistant Cook?
Cook better and better. You won't manage it in a day, but you don't have to, because your colleagues—including our Head Chef—do not expect you to create culinary recipes immediately. They do expect you to be eager to learn, enthusiastic, and open to learning a new trade. We can teach you everything in the kitchen during work, if you have that ambition. Aside from (a lot of) watching and cooking along, we also expect you to follow an internal training program with us at the S.Alt Academy, which we pay for.

• You participate fully in the kitchen and prepare 'simple' dishes
• You take care of the mise en place to perfection, and wash, chop, and slice away
• You check the dishes: does everything look, smell, and taste the way we want it to?
• You set the plates ready so they can be served
• You keep things clean and safe. It's part of the job

• MBO working and thinking level and (a great) desire to (learn to) cook delicious food
• You are open to learning from others and developing yourself quickly
• You are an early bird; starting at 06:00 in the morning is no problem for you

• A salary that can rise up to € 2,468.- (20+) and starts at € 1,975.- (18 years).

An airport pass is mandatory for working at Schiphol. We will arrange this for you, but you must have lived in the Netherlands continuously for the past 8 years. The security screening takes approximately 4 weeks - after that, you can get started!
