Electrotechnical Technician in the Netherlands

At SMIT Elektrotechniek, you will work with approximately 135 colleagues on multidisciplinary projects in electrical engineering and security technology. We realize new construction projects in residential housing in the Randstad and work for housing corporations and healthcare institutions.

You will contribute to electrical installations in various types of buildings. From residential housing and apartments to projects for healthcare institutions. In addition, you will be given the space to learn the trade in practice, to work increasingly independently, and to grow within the company.

At SMIT, we work with many apprentices and young professionals. Experienced technicians pass on their knowledge and help colleagues grow in the trade. At the same time, we continue to learn from new techniques and ideas ourselves. At SMIT, we love to pass on good craftsmanship.

As an Electrical Technician, you will contribute to the installation and finishing of electrical installations. You will work together with experienced colleagues and will receive increasing responsibility as you grow in the trade.

• Installing electrical installations in residential and utility construction

• Working on projects such as apartments, new builds, and healthcare institutions

• Performing activities in various construction phases, from shell construction to final assembly

• Installing and connecting cables, conduits, and other electrical facilities

• Checking your own work and identifying deviations

• Maintaining work orders and hours

• Ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organized workplace

• Collaborating with colleagues and other disciplines on the construction site

• Experience as a technician is a plus, but not a requirement

• Driving license B or the willingness to obtain one

• A VCA certificate or the willingness to obtain one
