What we're looking for

We are open to professionals with different levels of experience. Do you recognize yourself in (a large part of) the following?

A completed HBO or WO degree in Architecture/Building Science or a comparable technical study;
0 to approximately 8+ years of relevant work experience in building consultancy and/or real estate projects;
Affinity with inspections, renovations, new construction, maintenance, and construction costs;
Knowledge of or interest in professional training such as NEN 2767 and BOEI;
A goal-oriented, pragmatic, and quality-conscious working attitude;
A sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude;
You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams;
You combine technical knowledge with commercial insight;
Good communication skills in Dutch and English;
You enjoy alternating between reporting, on-site inspections, and consultation with (project) teams;
A driver's license is a plus, as some work locations are less easily accessible by public transport.

Turner & Townsend Building Consultancy is a leading advisor in commercial real estate. Together with our clients, we work on multidisciplinary, complex, and sustainable projects. As a Building Surveyor, you will play an important role in this.

What you'll do

As a Building Surveyor, you are part of the Building Consultancy Team and advise owners and users of (commercial) real estate at a strategic and technical level. Depending on your experience and seniority, you will receive more autonomy, responsibility, and more complex challenges.

Your activities are diverse and include, among others:

Building consultancy advice for (re)development, acquisition and disposal processes, and sustainability trajectories;
Performing Technical Due Diligence, Project Monitoring, and building inspections;
Preparing cost estimates, replacement value assessments, and programs of requirements;
Performing quality controls for existing buildings and new construction projects;
Collaborating with colleagues from commercial departments and the sustainability team;
Providing technical input and cost estimates for integrated advice and business cases.

You continuously switch between technical, cost, feasibility, and commercial aspects. In doing so, you know how to connect the interests of various stakeholders and contribute to the best possible solution for the client.

The Building Consultancy Team consists of a group of building and MEP experts. For our clients, we work closely with all departments within Turner & Townsend and CBRE business units – we would be happy to tell you more about this during an introduction.
