As a Germination Worker, you will work in a diverse and friendly team of 30 colleagues specializing in performing various quality tests. Together, we ensure that every seed leaving our department meets the highest quality standards. Because did you know that every delicious plate of vegetables starts with high-quality seed?

Syngenta's customers—farmers and gardeners all over the world—want to be sure of a reliable product. For the company, a well-functioning quality control is therefore essential. In this position, you will test seed batches for germination power and germination energy; you will do this using a germination medium (such as potting soil, sand, or paper) and it takes place in our Germination department or in the greenhouses. Accurate processing of the results is, of course, part of it. We test according to legal standards. It is therefore very important that we constantly monitor our working methods and together proactively continue to look for possible process improvements. • You are interested in working with vegetable and flower seeds and living material;
• You enjoy performing repetitive tasks;
• It goes without saying that you are accurate and have a sharp eye for quality;
• You feel at home in a diverse team that feels responsible for the tests performed;
• You speak good Dutch (minimum level B2) and it is a plus if you also master the English language.

• A salary between €2,587- €3,085 gross per month based on 38 hours per week (salary scale Orba C, CAO for Garden Seed Companies)
