Electrical Technician - Utrecht

As an Electrical Technician at Stedin, you ensure that the electricity grid remains reliable for both private customers and business clients. The energy transition is causing an increasingly heavily loaded grid due to, among other things, solar panels, charging stations, and growing business activity. You ensure the grid is ready for this and intervene when necessary.

If you work in the Maintenance chain, you focus on preventing and resolving faults in the electricity grid. You also perform maintenance on low-voltage cabinets and medium-voltage cabinets. If you work on the fault service rotation, you go out - also in the evenings, at night, or on weekends - to restore power to customers as quickly as possible.

Within the Business Project chain, you work on installing, modifying, or upgrading connections for companies and organizations. You realize new connections, modify existing connections, and replace or upgrade cables, often at larger business locations or in entire neighborhoods. Additionally, within Business Project, you also work on the fault service rotation to restore power to customers as quickly as possible.

Depending on your education, experience, and preference, you will work in low and/or medium voltage and within maintenance or business projects.

A day as an electrical technician:

• The workday starts from one of our locations in Utrecht.

• Together with colleagues, you ensure a safe and correct execution of the work.

• Within the team, the planning and safety agreements are reviewed.

• Performing maintenance, resolving faults, and contributing to business projects are part of the daily activities.

• Contact with customers is central, whereby it is clearly explained what is going to happen.

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know where you stand:

• A salary of up to € 4,024.72 gross per month based on a 40-hour work week.

• A personal budget of 24% on top of your salary (incl. holiday allowance), good for extra salary or extra leave days.

• € 80 net field allowance per month.

• An on-call and fault service allowance of € 438.08 gross for a full on-call week, on top of the compensation you naturally receive for your overtime during this on-call period. You can also have this paid out or convert it into leave.

On top of that, there is this:

• A personal company van with modern tools.

• Annually € 700.- (gross) for your own energy, for example for sports or vitality.

• Plenty of development and growth opportunities, for example towards first-class technician or technical specialist (VP/AVP).

From day one, you are part of the Maintenance or Business Project team. You work from one of the locations in Utrecht and carry out activities in the region. This way, you always work close to home and make a direct impact on the electricity grid for both residents and businesses.

Furthermore, you have:

• An MBO education level 3 or 4 in the direction of electrical engineering.

• A VOP/VP LS/MS certification (or the willingness to obtain this).

• Driving license B and willingness to work on-call and fault service shifts.
