As a Solution Architect within our consultancy organization, you design and realize IT solutions for complex issues at leading organizations. You ensure that architecture is not only correct on paper, but also actually works in practice.

You work at the intersection of architecture and delivery and translate business needs into scalable, robust, and implementable solutions. You work on challenges such as designing integrations, modernizing applications, or realizing cloud-native solutions.

You combine architectural principles with knowledge of modern technologies, such as cloud platforms, integration solutions, and data architecture, and work closely with development teams and engineers to realize the chosen solution direction. You work in projects at clients and serve as an important link between architecture and execution. In doing so, you ensure that solutions are not only well-designed, but also realizable and future-proof. You take ownership of the chosen solution direction and drive coherence, quality, and feasibility.

You work on projects within, among others, the public sector, financial services, and utilities. You deal with:

• Developing application, integration, and data architectures, where you switch between business and IT and provide clear justifications for design choices
• Making technical choices and determining solution directions, where you make trade-offs between quality, feasibility, and speed
• Guiding development and delivery teams during realization, where you respond to changing insights
• Integrating systems and modernizing existing application landscapes
• Realizing cloud-native and platform-based solutions

We are looking for Solution Architects who derive energy from both designing and realizing IT solutions in complex environments.

• can think conceptually and translate this into practical designs
• are technically strong, make substantiated choices, and know how to translate these into concrete solution directions

• feel comfortable in a dynamic project environment
• take responsibility for the quality, coherence, and feasibility of solutions

• A completed bachelor's or master's degree in an IT-related field
• At least 3 years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or similar roles within complex environments
• Experience with architectural methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Agile Architecture, ArchiMate)
• Experience with:
  • application and integration architecture
  • cloud-native and platform architectures (for example Azure or AWS)
  • software development and delivery
  • migration and transition architecture
• Experience with both agile and more traditional delivery models
• Experience with modernizing existing application landscapes and realizing new (greenfield) solutions
• You have demonstrable depth in one or more technical domains and know how to apply them effectively in solutions.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
• Experience with stakeholder management within projects
• Ability to explain and substantiate design choices clearly
• You think from a consultancy and client perspective and take the organization's context into account
• Collaboration-oriented and hands-on attitude

At Sopra Steria, we ensure that you can do your work with pleasure and in balance. Therefore, we offer an attractive and flexible package of employment terms:

• A permanent contract and a gross monthly salary between € 4,500,- and € 6,500,- based on full-time employment (40 hours per week);
• At Sopra Steria, we believe equal pay for equal work is important. Therefore, we determine your salary based on objective criteria such as experience, knowledge, competencies, and responsibilities. This allows us to ensure fair and transparent compensation that matches your background and the impact of your role.
• Holiday allowance of 8%;
• A profit-sharing scheme with a target payment of 8% of the gross (part-time) annual salary, depending on company results;
• A mobility scheme with a choice between an electric lease car or an alternative transport arrangement, suited to your situation;
