You will take the lead in this and determine the technical direction.
As a Solution Architect at Dura Vermeer, you will work together with experienced architects and information managers to design and realize IT solutions. Think of programs, software implementations, and integrations that add value to the organization.
You will communicate extensively with colleagues on the shop floor, information managers, IT teams, and product owners to arrive at well-thought-out and executable solutions.
You will divide your time between physical collaboration and focused work. The other time you will use to develop requirements, create solution designs, or draft documentation. Where you do this focused work is flexible: at home or at one of our offices, whatever works best for you.
As a Solution Architect, you will help information managers within the divisions to translate improvement initiatives into concrete technical solutions. You will map out the technical requirements, look at which applications are already available, and investigate possible alternatives. You will ensure that solutions are well-thought-out and clearly documented. For our architecture documentation, we use SAP LeanIX, one of the leading tools on the market. Are you not afraid to explore the deeper 'why' and do you dare to step outside the beaten path? We are looking for someone who is curious, enjoys asking the 'why' question, and helps with a fresh perspective to sharpen and advance ideas.
You need more than just technical skills. In this role, you will combine technical knowledge with business insight and strong communication skills, because you collaborate extensively with colleagues and external parties. We make extensive use of the services and services of, for example, Autodesk and Microsoft. These technological developments follow each other at a rapid pace, and therefore it is important that you have a good understanding of the always-evolving technical possibilities that are good for our divisions and operating companies.
As a Solution Architect, you will become part of the architecture team within Group IT. The team consists of 4 solution architects, 2 domain architects, and 1 enterprise architect. The lead solution architect is the manager of the team and, together with enterprise architecture, holds ultimate responsibility for the architecture frameworks and guidelines within Dura Vermeer. The domain architects deal with the frameworks and guidelines for a specific domain (business, data, application, or technology). The solution architects apply these frameworks and guidelines to specific solutions.
