Medior Python Developer

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience;
• Experience with at least 2 frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI;
• You have experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration, acceptance tests) and can apply them;
• You have substantive knowledge and can apply cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or with, for example, OpenShift;
• You have experience working in an agile scrum environment;
• You have experience working in accordance with DevOps principles;
• Can contribute in the field of software architecture and technical design;
• Prefer to work in a team;
• You have experience in sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues;
• You bring a positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude;
• Bachelor in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent education;
• In possession of a Dutch passport and residing in the Netherlands;
• At least Dutch at a B2 level or it is your mother tongue;

• A permanent contract and a salary between € 3,000 and max. € 4,200 (based on 40 hours per week). The exact scaling depends on your experience;
• Holiday allowance of 8%;
• A generous mobility budget in the form of a lease scheme of min. € 1,022 and max. € 1,209. With the choice of an electric lease car with NS Business Card or a lease bike, or an alternative transport scheme of min. € 930 and max. € 1,113. Whatever best fits your way of traveling;

As a technological partner, Sopra Steria works on various solutions. This means that you will work with your team on different assignments. An assignment may include the following:

• A PoC using one or more AI models may be brought to an MVP with FastAPI and Python;
• Building an image recognition application;
• Working in a Behavior- and/or Test-driven development (BDD, TDD) Agile environment.
• Implementing data models that make a prediction for, for example, the number of travelers in public transport or the amount of wind or solar energy that needs to be stored.
• AI Research for improving NLP models and implementing these models in applications that help with searching through documents.
• Building an application that helps specialists in collecting and analyzing data for security risks (Flask) or checking for the authenticity of documents (Django).
• There is still doubt regarding the deployment of OpenShift;
• The CI/CD is a Jenkins pipeline and it must be converted to Azure pipelines;
• Thinking along to define steps to run the application in a Kubernetes cluster (e.g., with Helm, Dockerfile, Podman);
• A new framework is being selected, such as (for example) FastAPI;
• Making the existing unit and integration tests meaningful;
• Making ideas discussable within the team to make progress.
