Our brokerage team ensures the timely and correct handling of client assignments, from processing orders to submitting customs and related declarations.

You will become part of an enthusiastic and driven team of declarants and will be managed by a team leader. Your location is Malledijk 18 in Spijkenisse.

What you'll do

What will you be doing?
As a customs declarant, you are responsible for handling customs formalities for a wide variety of products and complexity levels. Think, among others, of perishable goods such as food, beverages, plants, fruit & vegetables, or excise, origin, processing, waste, anti-dumping, CITES, temporary importation, destruction, BTI application, consent, strategic, etc. No two days are the same with us!

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

  • You assess the data provided by clients for correctness and completeness, including authorizations, VAT reverse charge, etc.
  • If necessary, you communicate with the client, customs, or other departments of SGS Maco regarding the (submitted) declarations.
  • You prepare all occurring customs declarations.
  • You ensure the correct, complete, and timely archiving of the declarations made.
  • You ensure that your knowledge of customs legislation, procedures, permits, and all occurring types of customs and related declarations is kept up to date and at a high level.

Will you take on this challenge?
To be able to perform the function of customs declarant well, you have completed the vocational training for declarants or have demonstrable work experience as a declarant. Ideally, you supplement this with knowledge of and experience with specific customs applications and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Word)
