AR Accountant

You have a completed HBO or WO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a similar field with 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience within a financial administration (relevant internships count towards this)

You work easily with Excel and use data to analyze differences, prepare reports, and substantiate actions

You have an eye for detail and analyze deviations until you understand the cause. You do not just wait, but come up with practical proposals to make processes smarter, faster, and more efficient

You communicate clearly with customers and colleagues. Is information missing or are agreements not being met? Then you dare to ask follow-up questions and take action

You get energy from clear results, administration that is correct, and improvements that make a visible difference for customers and colleagues alike

Experience with SAP or another ERP system is a plus

As an AR Accountant at Red Bull Netherlands, you ensure that payments, prices, and customer agreements are financially correct. You combine accurate administration with sharp analyses and intensive collaboration with customers, Sales, Operations, and Finance.

Your result: an up-to-date accounts receivable portfolio, fewer price discrepancies, and reliable insights that allow the team to adjust quickly and purposefully.

You maintain control over the accounts receivable portfolio, monitor outstanding invoices, and take direct action regarding payment arrears. In doing so, you actively maintain contact with customers and work closely with the account managers. You also ensure that credit limits and payment terms are correctly entered in SAP.

With clear analyses, you translate data into insights regarding credit risk, cashflow, and DSO (days sales outstanding). Together with the team, you prepare the monthly reports for the head office, identify risks early, and determine targeted actions to further strengthen the cashflow.

You manage base prices and promotional price conditions in the system, investigate price discrepancies, and ensure these are resolved correctly. In doing so, you work closely with the (key) account managers to structurally address recurring causes.

Daily, you process banking entries and quickly and correctly link payments to the correct invoices. You carefully investigate and process any payment differences, deductions, and disputes. Where necessary, you prepare and send manual invoices.

You are not satisfied with “this is how we’ve always done it.” You identify where processes can be smarter, faster, or more reliable and, together with the Finance team, translate ideas into concrete improvements. You also actively contribute to the implementation of new processes and systems.
