At Quanza, we build a diverse and inclusive working environment in which everyone feels accepted and valued, can be themselves, and gets equal opportunities to grow.

For this position, we require a recent Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).

The role

Do you get energy from monitoring critical IT infrastructures that móst be available 24/7? And do you keep your cool when the pressure is on? Then the role of NOC Operator at Quanza is made for you.

What you'll do

As a NOC Operator, you are part of the Quanza Network Operations Center: a continuous environment where service availability is monitored - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The NOC is the crucial link between our customers, the internal service organization, and external suppliers.

You monitor, track, and manage customer infrastructures within agreed Service Levels and intervene when necessary. You resolve the majority of incidents independently; for more complex issues, you coordinate with engineers. During your shift, you ensure correct ticket follow-up and actively keep customers informed.

Your duties include:

  • 24/7 monitoring of customer infrastructures via monitoring and alert systems

  • Registering, analyzing, and resolving incidents within SLAs

  • Handling incidents independently

  • Escalating complex disruptions to 2nd line engineers

  • Communicating with customers, internal teams, and external suppliers via tickets, email, and telephone

  • Monitoring progress and ensuring clear status updates

  • Identifying structural issues and opportunities for process improvement

  • Ensuring a careful handover to the next shift

You work in a roster within established working hours.

About Quanza

  • Obsessive,

  • Connecting,

  • Reliable and

  • Problem-solving.

What do you bring?

You work in a structured and precise manner, remain calm under pressure, and enjoy being the point of contact when it matters most. You think in solutions and know how important clear communication is in a 24/7 environment.

In addition, you possess:

  • MBO or HBO working and thinking level. A completed ICT education is the ideal foundation, but we find the right drive to be at least as important

  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written

  • Passion for technology. General IT knowledge is a must. Do you already have basic knowledge of TCP/IP and/or Linux? Then you definitely have an advantage (and if not, we are happy to teach you)

Your colleague Tim on this position

"At the NOC, you know that your work truly matters. You are in the middle of the operation and are often the first to see that something is going wrong. As a NOC Operator, you take charge in this: you monitor the progress of tickets, investigate where an incident belongs, and ensure it reaches the right party, from Network Engineering to Field Engineering or Change Management.

You are the point of contact for the outside world, with direct customer contact via email and telephone, and you maintain an overview while the pressure is sometimes high. At the same time, the work atmosphere is informal: everyone is approachable, doors are open, and a chat at the coffee machine is just part of it. The beautiful thing is that you don't just react, but also think along about how we can prevent disruptions in the future. No shift is the same and you always work together with colleagues you can rely on.
