Requirements

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Process Technology, or similar.
Minimum 5 years of experience with energy management within a manufacturing or process environment.
Demonstrable experience with ISO 50001 implementation and certification.

Nice to have

Experience in the food industry is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of energy management systems, KPIs, and energy efficiency.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder management.

The role

What you'll do

We are currently looking for an implementation-oriented & practical-minded professional

to come and strengthen our team in Vondelingenplaat.

As our new Energy Engineer, you will play a key role in realizing our sustainability ambitions. You are responsible for improving the energy performance of our production sites, leading ISO 50001 certification processes, and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and further optimize operational performance.

In this role, you are responsible for

Manage and optimize the ISO 50001 Energy Management System for our production sites.
Lead ISO 50001 certification processes, compliance activities, and audits.
Analyze energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings.
Initiate and realize projects that increase energy efficiency and reduce costs.
Establish energy KPIs, monitor performance, and report improvements.
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Production, and Engineering to integrate energy management into daily operations.
Identify optimizations for steam, electricity, compressed air, heating, and cooling.
Support CAPEX and improvement projects with energy and business case analyses.
Advise on energy-efficient technologies, process improvements, and investments.
Ensure audit readiness and maintain energy-related documentation and reports.
Support ESG and sustainability reporting with reliable energy data.
Increase energy awareness within the organization through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
