Legal Officer (Dutch Speaking)

A dismissal request without a standard answer. A CAO article with room for interpretation. Or a claim that requires a clever solution. It is precisely those kinds of legal puzzles that you will tackle! As a Legal Officer at Maqqie, you will independently handle complex employment law and CAO issues. You provide clear legal advice, handle claims within your mandate, and know when to escalate. Additionally, you identify recurring bottlenecks and help us design our processes more intelligently. Still growing or already a seasoned pro in the field? We will find a place that suits you. You report to the Head of Operations and work closely with the Legal team and colleagues from other teams.

• Complex employment law issues: You analyze challenging cases, such as dismissal cases and wage claims, and translate these into clear advice and practical solutions.

• Claims and settlements: You draft claims and settlement proposals, negotiate independently within your mandate, and manage files from start to finish.

• CAOs and legislation: You interpret complex CAO provisions and help colleagues apply them correctly.

• Working smarter: You identify recurring issues and improve our processes, guidelines, and legal templates.

• Sharing knowledge: You brainstorm with colleagues and help Junior Legal Officers grow in their profession.

You will be given the space to take initiative and further expand your role. You will take the lead in complex files, advise on legal issues and risks, and think along about how we can properly safeguard compliance within Maqqie.
