Senior Consultant Data & AI

• 3-5 years in finance and/or data management within the financial sector.
• A completed university master's degree, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, econometrics, data science, business analytics, engineering, quantitative finance, or a similar field.
• Affinity with the financial sector and interest in the agenda of CFOs and finance functions; for Senior Consultants, preferably supplemented with relevant sector experience.
• Interest, affinity, and/or practical experience with technology, data, automation, and AI, where experience with modern data platforms is seen as a plus.
• Experience with programming and building smart solutions with modern data and AI technologies (such as Python, SQL, C#, Power BI, and Tableau).
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, combined with strong analytical, communicative, and collaborative skills and a proactive, inquisitive, and result-oriented attitude.

Your new job | About your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant Data & AI, you will primarily focus on banks, insurers, pension organizations, asset managers, fintechs, and other financial institutions.

You will be part of the Data & AI competence within CFO Consulting. Financial services is your sector focus; Data & AI forms your substantive area of expertise. You will work across the full spectrum on transformations for clients where data management and the optimal use of AI within (finance) processes play an important role.

We work with CFOs and senior finance stakeholders on issues such as:

• Strategic activities: Developing data & AI strategies, operating models, and governance structures for finance functions; advising on data and/or AI governance, master data management, and data quality; guiding technology selections; and helping finance functions shape and accelerate their future vision for data, analytics, and AI.
• Tactical activities: Realizing concrete data & AI solutions, including data engineering, business intelligence and dashboarding, process mining, analytics, automation, and the optimal embedding of AI agents, enabling clients to make better decisions, improve processes, and create new value.
• Advising CFOs and finance leadership teams on data and AI transformation issues and translating complex business challenges into concrete, innovative solutions.
• Developing data and AI strategies, operating models, and governance structures for finance organizations, based on workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions.
• Implementing modern data platforms, such as Databricks and Snowflake, and developing and operationalizing data and AI use cases for process improvement, better decision-making, and value creation.
• Contributing to propositions, knowledge development, and thought leadership in the field of Finance, Data & AI.
• Collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with client stakeholders; as a Senior Consultant, independently coordinating parts of projects or workstreams.
• Contributing to client relationships, propositions, and the development of the Finance Transformation competence and, as a Senior Consultant, providing substantive guidance to less experienced consultants and identifying commercial opportunities.

Data & AI is one of the core competencies within CFO Consulting. You will become part of one integrated Data & AI team and work together with colleagues with various sector and transformation expertise. From your financial sector focus, you will help build relevant market propositions and client relationships, while simultaneously contributing actively to the broader development, staffing, and delivery of the competence.

You will work intensively with other EY competencies, including Finance Transformation, Treasury, Technical Accounting, Project Management, Risk Management & Regulation, and Transactions. In this way, you combine deep sector knowledge with the scale and expertise of a multidisciplinary team.
