The role

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a substantive role, where you can make a concrete contribution to process optimization and project management? As an asset accounting specialist at Lidl, you will find this challenge. You will work on large-scale investment issues, such as the rollout of reverse vending machines and improving the monitoring of fixed assets. In this crucial role, you will ensure accurate and reliable administration in a stable, international, and sustainable working environment.

What you'll do

As a finance accounting specialist in assets, you will support the team and become the specialist in the field of investments. You will ensure the accurate processing of assets and be involved in optimizing processes. These are your main tasks:

  • Managing complex issues in the field of assets. These can be issues surrounding the rollout of reverse vending machines for returning PET bottles and cans, but also specific issues regarding costs/investments.
  • Optimizing processes within the asset team. For example, we are currently working on better monitoring the movements of tangible fixed assets between the various branches and storage locations.
  • Monthly reconciliation and processing of movements during the month-end closing.
  • Assigning items to the correct asset class or project account.
  • Guiding and monitoring progress on asset-related projects, such as central rollout projects from IT or Procurement.
  • Collaborating with various departments within Lidl, including regional sales departments and controlling.
  • You have an affinity for numbers and work accurately, with an eye for detail.
