The role

Become part of our growing KPMG Deals Strategy team! We work on the strategic core of mergers and acquisitions and challenging issues such as integration, separation, and value creation. Together, we realize impactful projects and help clients shape their strategy. In this role, you are the driving force behind successful integration and separation assignments.

You not only take the lead over the project team but are also the strategic point of contact for the client at C-level. Thanks to your sharp analyses and thoughtful advice, well-substantiated decisions are made at the board level. You know how to communicate complex issues clearly to the management and other stakeholders, building trust and creating support for the proposed direction.

You translate strategic insights into concrete actions and ensure that your team and the client jointly achieve tangible results. Through your leadership, you know how to get colleagues and clients moving and take them along in the change process, from the preparation phase through to implementation.

The KPMG Strategy Team advises private equity firms and corporates on acquisitions, investments, and strategic issues. In acquisitions, we help clients assess the attractiveness of a target. Additionally, we advise our clients on strategic issues, such as entering a new market or defining their strategy. Our projects have a major impact on business operations, meaning you often work together with investment directors and C-level executives. You play an active role in realizing our ambitions. You bring speed, structure, and impact to complex strategic projects.

What you'll do

  • Strategic advice: Provide substantiated advice to C-level and create support for change.
  • Integration & separation: You turn plans into results – from pre-deal to post-deal. And you translate the operational impact of the deal into tangible financial performance in the P&L.
  • Value creation: Identify synergies and ensure that these are actually realized.
  • Project management: Maintain control over complex transactions and monitor progress in every phase.
  • Business development: Support management with growth initiatives and client relationships.
  • Leadership: Inspire your team and guide colleagues in their professional development.
