Investment Analyst Deep Tech Fund

• Salary: between € 4,200 and €5,790 per month based on 40 hours (classification based on knowledge and experience);

• Flexibility in compensation: Benefit Budget worth 20.95% of your monthly salary. This consists of 8% holiday allowance, 8.33% end-of-year bonus, and a personal budget of 4.615% for above-statutory leave (86.4 hours per year based on your 36-hour work week);

For our Deep Tech Fund investment team, we are looking for an Investment Analyst.

As an Investment Analyst Deep Tech Fund, you will be part of team Capital. With this, you are co-responsible for executing the investment activities of Invest-NL and you support the team in sourcing, structuring, and analyzing investments in start-ups and scale-ups within the deep-tech domain. In this role, you will work on the following:

• You are part of a deal team and work on investment proposals. Together, you analyze markets, intended impact, business models, business plans, revenue models, and ownership and financing structures;

• You participate in conversations with (potential) relations, prepare them, and record them. This allows you to quickly get to know innovative entrepreneurs, societal transitions, and impact and financing issues;

• You engage in market research and deal sourcing, i.e., searching for companies within the deep-tech domain in which we want to invest;

• Gradually, you will receive more responsibility and the opportunity to grow within the organization.

Invest-NL has over €3 billion available to invest in innovative start-ups and scale-ups and large-scale projects. With this, we are the largest impact investor in the Netherlands! The focus of the Deep Tech investment team is on Dutch start-ups and scale-ups that are at the forefront of deep tech - from photonics and nanotechnology to biotech and quantum. You combine technical depth with financial sharpness and play a key role in realizing complex investments (VC and project finance). We do this together with other investors in the market and, where necessary, we act as lead investor ourselves to enable challenging transitions.
