About the job
The sales department at IKEA Delft consists of Furniture Sales / Showroom (1st floor) and Market Hall Sales (ground floor). At this moment, we are looking for a new colleague for 24 hours per week, in the Self-service warehouse department.
What will you do?
As a Sales employee, you are one of the most important IKEA contact persons for our customers. You see customers before they see you, you help them kindly, and you advise them on suitable living solutions.
On your way to the IKEA exit, you will naturally pass the self-serve warehouse. This is where customers collect the products they saw in the showroom. All products are in flat packs and must be assembled themselves. By involving the customers in the process themselves, we can keep prices low.
The biggest difference from the other sales assistant vacancies is that the work in the Self-service warehouse is more physically challenging. For example, more products must be moved or shelving must be adjusted. You are responsible for, among other things:
What you'll do
- Informing our customers about products and product benefits, and explaining sales procedures.
- Keeping the sales area looking new and managing the daily presentation of the department.
- Observing procedures for inventory management.

You will be scheduled in shifts on weekdays between 08:00 and 21:30 in the evening, on Saturday between 08:00 - 21:30, and on Sunday between 08:00 - 18:30. We are looking for employees who are also available in the evenings and on weekends. You may specify 1 fixed day between Monday and Friday on which you can never be scheduled, and you will receive your roster 4 weeks in advance.
