The role

Good product data makes the difference. Whether a customer is looking for the right product specifications online or buying a product in the store: the information must be correct. A lot goes on behind the scenes to make that happen. From managing article data to improving data models and implementing new processes and systems. That is where you come in. As a Data Specialist within Master Data Management (MDM), you work at the intersection of business, data, and IT. You dive into questions from the organization, translate these into concrete solutions, and help to actually realize improvements. In this way, you ensure that our product data keeps getting better and that HEMA works smarter and more efficiently. Do you already have experience with product data, data management, or process improvement and do you want to further develop yourself in a role with both substantive and project-based responsibility? Then we have a great challenge for you at HEMA.

What you'll do

As a Data Specialist, you work at the intersection of business, data, and IT. You investigate how our product data and processes can be improved, translate wishes from the organization into concrete solutions, and help to realize these together with colleagues. You will receive increasing responsibility for your own projects and the space to further develop yourself in data management.

  • You improve our product data and systems. You work on the quality and structure of product data within our PIM and SAP environments and contribute ideas on how we can set up and make data available more intelligently.
  • You advance projects. You translate business questions into requirements, coordinate with stakeholders and development teams, and monitor the progress of improvement projects. Think of the further development of our supplier portal and the improvement of our data model.
  • You make an impact on the entire organization. Together with, among others, product managers, e-commerce, Quality, and Digital/IT, you ensure that product information is correct, new legislation is properly processed, and customers find the right information online.
  • You keep the basics in order. In addition to projects, you help solve data issues from daily practice. In this way, you get to know our products, processes, and systems better and better.
