Senior Manager - Technology Strategy & Transformation - Banking

• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, including several years in consulting, with a proven track record in large-scale technology and digital transformation programs.
• Experience and a strong network in the Netherlands within Financial Services; experience and contacts within the banking sector are a plus.
• Master's degree with a strong affinity for IT, Digital, and Business, such as Business Information (Management), (Digital) Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or another field related to these domains.
• Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), modern integration and implementation patterns (e.g., event-driven architectures, data mesh, platform engineering), and data architecture.
• Ability to apply risk management principles and navigate ICT regulatory frameworks (e.g., DORA, EU AI Act, Data Act, EUCS, and EBA guidelines).
• Relevant certifications or skills in cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, prompt engineering (Python, cloud automation), or delivery methodologies (Agile, Lean, program management) are a plus.
• Commercial insight and the ability to recognize new opportunities, set up proposals and pitches, and sustainably build client relationships.
• Team development and leadership. You have experience managing multidisciplinary teams (both internal and client-facing), coaching and developing consultants and managers, and contributing to team strategy, knowledge sharing, and resource planning.
• You speak Dutch well at at least a B2 level (required) and speak and write fluent English, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• You will receive a contract for 32-40 hours.

Your new job | About your key responsibilities
As Senior Manager - Technology Strategy & Transformation - Cloud, AI, Digital, you will be part of the Technology Strategy & Transformation team.

The team supports financial institutions, primarily in the banking sector in this role, throughout the entire transformation lifecycle: from strategy to execution. We work shoulder to shoulder with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and COOs to define solutions, align decision-making, and ensure that plans are put into action.

Our work includes AI strategy and enablement, modernization of critical legacy systems, hybrid and multi-cloud strategy, and enterprise architecture. In doing so, we bring together technology, data, and operating model design with the regulatory knowledge required to navigate this complex environment. For example, consider what is involved when implementing Agentic AI applications within a bank operating in 20 countries, where local teams have significant autonomy and hundreds of IT delivery teams must collaborate, while ensuring compliance from the start.

Strategy & Vision

• Advising financial institutions on technology strategy, architecture, and transformation (e.g., AI, Legacy-to-Cloud, Digital)
• Developing business cases and actionable roadmaps for organization-wide changes
• Designing solutions aligned with business goals, regulatory context, and operating models

Execution

• Preparing C-level decision-making materials, supported by sound analysis and clear storytelling
• Leading technical workstreams in vendor selection and transformation programs
• Guiding cross-functional teams and facilitating strategic decision-making within IT, Risk, Data, and executive leadership

Growth & Leadership

• Taking responsibility for one of our Go-to-Market chapters (e.g., AI, Cloud, Risk Tech), and contributing to thought leadership and proposition development
• Balancing conceptual problem-solving skills with hands-on leadership in execution

Alongside delivery, as a Senior Manager, you play an important role in the strategy and further development of the Technology Strategy & Transformation team. You will utilize your network and consulting experience to identify new market and business opportunities and contribute to generating new engagements for the team.

You help the team and clients anticipate changing technological needs and ensure that strategies and solutions are forward-looking and actionable.

We are looking for commercially minded senior managers with consulting experience who derive energy from achieving tangible results and who are able to bridge the gap between strategy and execution within complex digital transformations.
