The role

The challenge - attracting public funding for Green steel? Or applying for subsidies for biobased products? If this appeals to you: apply now!

The EY Grants & Incentives team supports multinationals, non-profit organizations, start-ups/scale-ups, and knowledge institutions in leveraging tax incentives and subsidies for research, innovation, and sustainability.

We are committed to helping our clients improve and accelerate, and contributing to a better functioning world through high-quality subsidy advice. We pride ourselves on our pragmatic approach and our ability to truly think along with our clients. Our work includes drafting innovation roadmaps, identifying relevant subsidies, writing well-founded and financially calculated business cases, and bringing together consortia for challenging research and innovation projects. We do not do this alone; we regularly collaborate with our hundreds of Grants & Incentives colleagues on challenging projects for our internationally operating clients.

What you'll do

Because the EY Grants & Incentives team is growing, we are looking for a (Senior) Manager with relevant experience in financing sustainability projects. Drawing from your relevant financial and/or technical background, you are able to provide complex, technical investment projects with sound, strategic subsidy advice and guide clients through high-quality, well-thought-out applications.

The ideal candidate has an affinity with, and a background in, sustainability projects, with an emphasis on, for example, circularity and biobased chemicals and materials, agrofood, and sustainable raw materials and nutrients. You know the subsidy landscape well and have a relevant network.

  • You help clients with the strategic identification and recruitment of subsidies for sustainability, circularity, biobased chemicals, or agrofood. Your focus here lies particularly on subsidies for capital-intensive (CAPEX) sustainability projects.
  • You draft sustainability or innovation roadmaps, (European) subsidy and/or project applications, while guiding junior colleagues and collaborating with colleagues worldwide where necessary.
  • You maintain and build relationships with leading corporates and multinationals, promising scale-ups, and highly regarded knowledge institutions.
  • You help with the growth of our team, actively approaching existing EY clients and prospects and playing an active role in our management team.
