Entry-level Asphalt Worker

Do you want to be involved in laying asphalt on the most beautiful projects? As an entry-level asphalt worker, you will learn all the tricks of the trade and get the chance to grow into an all-round asphalt worker. The activities are in the Limburg region and the eastern part of Noord-Brabant.

The asphalt crew is responsible for laying asphalt on all projects in the South East region. The asphalt crew consists of a foreman, machine operator, tack coat sprayer driver, screed operator, roller operator, and asphalt finishers. Together with your crew, you ensure that the roads in the region look smooth and neat again. You work on projects within and outside of cities, but also on construction sites and in the port area.

You will combine working on the projects with a vocational training program where you will learn more about asphalt and the various tasks associated with it. You will also learn more about complying with laws and regulations, and safety on a project. After completing the vocational training, you will be a certified asphalt worker.

This position within Dura Vermeer is available at the Infra Division, Regional Projects in the South East Region. You will work on various projects in the region; the activities are in the regions of Noord-Brabant, Limburg, and Gelderland.

Furthermore: 

• Do you have an affinity for technology and do you want to gain practical experience. 

• Are you willing to work at night and on weekends (from 18 years old).  

• Do you have a hands-on mentality and do you tackle things proactively. 

• Are you in possession of a VCA certificate, or are you willing to obtain one.  

• Do you enjoy learning new things and do you have the ambition to develop into an all-round asphalt worker! 

In accordance with the CAO Bouw & Infra, a medical examination may be part of the application procedure. For this position, the examination is mandatory if you are going to work in construction and infra for the first time, or if you have not worked as an employee in construction and infra in the past 3 years AND an entry examination has not previously taken place for the same or similar position for which you are applying.

You will follow the training through one of our vocational training providers. You will enter employment with the vocational training provider, and through them, you will be stationed at Dura Vermeer. You will work four days a week and go to school one day a week. After completing the training, there is the possibility to enter employment at Dura Vermeer!
