Asphalt Paver Operator

• At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience within our field, and experience as an operator is a plus
• Driving license B (BE is a plus)
• You are flexibly deployable and find working in shifts or evenings/nights no problem
• Speaks and writes good to reasonable Dutch, important for communication, safety instructions, and work orders
• A proactive work attitude, physically fit and accustomed to outdoor work

Are you a team player and do you want to create beautiful work every day together with professionals within a close-knit team? As an operator, you have a great profession and you will work primarily with one of the new Vogele V1800 asphalt pavers, with a 3-meter screed, which we had newly delivered within Strukton in 2026. You will work on various asphalt projects, from small jobs to large road construction projects. For more than 100 years, we have been performing asphalt works throughout the Netherlands, from small jobs (at companies) to large road construction projects (on highways, among others). As an operator, you are an important guiding professional within the asphalt crew. You quickly see your daily plan, how you achieve, for example, the cross-section or wedge points, but above all, you know that your insight also influences the speed of the crew. You maintain direct contact with the screed operator; you share your knowledge and experience together. You are also alert yourself to when you need diesel or AdBlue. Additionally, you also ensure that your machine is lubricated in a timely manner and report in time when it is due for maintenance. Furthermore, together with the screed operator, you keep the machine tidy and clean.

Safety comes first and you work according to procedures and guidelines such as VCA and GPI. Additionally, you signal deviations and think along regarding improvements.

Would you like a day off, would you like to leave a bit earlier sometimes, or do you want to go on holiday longer? We are really not difficult about that. A 4-day work week is also negotiable.

If you want to try something different within the asphalt crew, that is simply possible. Roller, screed operator, on the asphalt paver, or even on the tack coat sprayer, why not? We also like it when you develop yourself well.

We are not a clunky club but just people who address each other as "you" and know how to find each other well. You will come to work in a crew with:

You will head out with a close-knit team and Strukton provides a neat and well-equipped company van. Sometimes it happens that due to distance or time, you would rather stay overnight close to the work instead of driving back and forth. We have good arrangements for this via renowned hotels, including food, drink, and an extra allowance.
