Mechanical Technician

You possess an MBO-4 diploma in the field of mechanical engineering. You also possess a VCA – Vol certificate, or you are willing to obtain it. Furthermore, you have knowledge of automated maintenance systems. Experience in the food industry is a plus.

Are you the mechanical specialist who will come to strengthen our technical service? Do you get energy from working in a team to achieve improvements? Then we would like to meet you.

As a mechanical technician, you fulfill a key role in maintaining the reliability of our mechanical installations and utilities. You are responsible for installation work, commissioning, repairs, overhauls, and providing service. Additionally, you hold responsibility as the installation supervisor for the mechanical systems.

In this position, you are part of the technical service department. You will be managed by the team lead maintenance & engineering.

Work week: 40 hours per week

Location: Sensus Zwolle
Contract: Temporary for a period of 1 year with a view to a permanent contract

• Independently detecting, analyzing, and resolving all [issues] in the entire factory;

• You perform mechanical repairs to equipment as well as electrical work in the absence of the electrical technicians;

• You plan and prepare your own repair work and arrange materials via the available systems and documentation;

• You determine the necessary maintenance and inspections of the mechanical equipment in consultation with your supervisor;

• You organize the scheduled maintenance with the relevant contractors and suppliers;

• You independently prepare repairs, modifications, and replacement projects. And you carry these out independently or by managing contractors;

• You manage inspection reports and other relevant information regarding the mechanical installations;

• You administer activities in the preventive maintenance system SAP;

• You contribute to the management of the technical spare parts warehouse;

• You indicate the required capacity during complex breakdowns;

• You complete the installation in collaboration with production;

• You provide instructions and technical directions to production personnel and third parties;

• Ensure knowledge transfer to operators regarding autonomous maintenance tasks by providing technical training;

• Observe the regulations regarding quality, health & safety, and environment (including NEN, HACCP, ISO), and the work instructions applicable within the company;

• On-call services are part of the job requirements.
