Manager Payroll

• You have a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in a business economics direction, supplemented with a practical diploma in payroll administration and/or VPS.
• You have at least 5 to 8 years of experience in managing teams.
• You are able to effectively guide change processes and support employees through coaching in their growth, development, and adoption of new ways of working.
• You have experience with payroll issues within an international environment and understand the challenges associated with different countries, employment conditions, tax regimes, and legislation.
• You are able to quickly grasp complex issues without having to be the technical specialist yourself. You have perfect command of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken.

As Manager Payroll, you will lead a team of approximately 13 payroll professionals. You will ensure that the team functions optimally, employees can develop, and processes are continuously improved. Thanks to your coaching, guidance, and clear direction, the team is able to achieve error-free salary processing every month for approximately 8,200 employees worldwide. This is no easy task when you consider that we have a wide range of schemes and employment conditions for our employees who are active globally. This, in combination with various tax regimes, makes your field of work complex but extremely interesting.

You can make the difference as Manager Payroll if you bring the following:

• Realizing accurate salary processing.
• Leading a team of approximately 13 colleagues and ensuring optimal staffing levels.
• Coaching, developing, and inspiring employees so that they get the best out of themselves and the team.
• Correctly implementing changes in legislation and employment condition regulations such as collective labor agreements (CAOs).
• Initiating and implementing optimization and improvement projects regarding salary processing and the automation of processes.
• Analyzing diverse fiscal and social insurance (international) issues.
• Acting as a partner for HR, Finance, and management in the field of payroll organization and process improvement.
• Managing the payroll system (AFAS).

• Your team: You will work in an autonomous and close-knit team of 13 colleagues at our head office in Papendrecht. You report directly to the General Manager FSSC.
• Where you will work: We work hybrid. In consultation with your manager and your team, you will work partly from home and partly in the office.
• Full-time/ part-time: The position is full-time (36- 40 hours per week).

To be successful in the role of Manager Payroll, you are a strong people manager who knows how to coach, connect, and develop employees. You create an environment in which professionals can perform optimally and changes are successfully implemented. You understand the complexity of payroll within an international organization and are a solid partner for HR, Finance, and management.

You combine a pragmatic approach with sharp analytical skills and know how to maintain calm, overview, and direction even under time pressure. In doing so, you never lose sight of the organizational interest and collaboration is central to you.
