You are available for 24-40 hours. Working days are in consultation and your working hours are from 07:30 to 17:00
Salary based on knowledge, educational background and work experience between €3,252 and €4,770 gross per month (FWG 45) based on 40 hours in accordance with the ZKN collective labor agreement
An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and holiday allowance of 8.33%
Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer with a maximum of 80 km (one way). Do you travel by public transport? Then we reimburse these costs fully

How you can make an impact as a Technical Ophthalmic Assistant
As a Technical Ophthalmic Assistant (TOA), you guide patients and reassure them. You perform accurate eye examinations to provide optimal support to the ophthalmologist and optometrist. Through your expertise and care, you improve the patient experience and contribute to efficient and high-quality eye care.
Support of consultation hours: You support the ophthalmologists during consultation hours by performing preliminary examinations, taking medical histories, and preparing patients for the ophthalmologist.
Independent performance of functional tests: You independently perform functional tests, including OCT, biometry, corneal topography, fundus photography, and visual field examinations.
Postoperative cataract clinic: You independently conduct a postoperative cataract clinic and handle the administrative processing, such as writing letters to the GP.
Patient information and guidance: You inform, instruct, and guide patients and their companions regarding the procedures and the follow-up of their treatment.
Process improvement: You actively participate in thinking about improving internal processes and contribute to the optimization of care delivery.
Varied work schedule: You work with a different schedule per half-day, so no day is the same. For example, you support the ophthalmologist in the morning and perform functional tests in the afternoon. This ensures a lot of variety in your work.

This is where you will work
You will work at Bergman Clinics | Ogen at our main location in Ede. For a few days per month, we will ask if you are also available for our outpatient clinic in Arnhem or Veenendaal. You will be part of a team consisting of all kinds of healthcare professionals such as ophthalmologists, optometrists, TOAs, and supporting colleagues such as Front- and Backoffice staff. At our focus clinic, we offer personal, high-quality tailored care in a relaxed atmosphere. This clinic has a fully equipped outpatient clinic and its own operating center. Due to the small scale of the clinic, communication lines are short and there are plenty of opportunities to develop your all-round skills.
