At the outpatient clinic, you will hold consultations where you independently take a medical history and perform physical examinations. Based on the diagnosis, you will formulate a (medical) treatment plan and ensure its implementation and evaluation. At the outpatient clinic, you will always work closely with a medical specialist, who will be available for supervision during your clinic hours. You will perform independent rounds, act as the point of contact for nursing & the outpatient clinic back office, and be responsible for medication and correspondence for orthopedic and neurosurgical patients. Additionally, you will coordinate emergency care with your colleagues, acting as the first point of contact for emergency questions from GPs or operated clients across the spectrum (knee, hip, foot, shoulder, and spine). In short, a very versatile position!

• Independent consultations, in collaboration with an orthopedist (check-ups / follow-up)

• Postoperative rounds on the nursing ward for orthopedic and neurosurgical patients

• Administering intra-articular injections

• Emergency care: emergency patients with possible (postoperative) complications or other complaints

• Triage of referrals and questions (from patients / referrers)

• You will shape the design and development of your role within our clinic and ensure quality improvement and continuity of care

You are enthusiastic, proactive, and ambitious, and you want to innovate care within the nursing ward and outpatient clinic together with us. You are also independent and can organize your own work independently. You are stress-resistant and have perseverance. We expect team players with excellent communication skills. Furthermore, you have:

• A completed relevant HBO (higher professional education) degree supplemented with a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant, preferably in the field of orthopedics. If you are currently still following the program and will graduate soon, we would also love to get in touch with you!

• A registration in the NAPA quality register

• Preferably you have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a hospital or ZBC (ambulatory surgical center)

The working hours are flexible and in consultation.

• A salary between €5,295 and €7,901 gross per month (FWG 65), in accordance with CAO ZKN based on full-time employment (40 hours).

You will join a close-knit group of people who are there for one another and work with great pleasure. You will work together in a team of two physician assistants.
