A salary between €4,043 and €6,058 gross per month (FWG 55), in accordance with the ZKN collective labor agreement based on full-time employment (40 hours)
An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and holiday allowance of 8.33%

This is where you will work
In the role of Optometrist, you will be welcomed into our beautiful clinic in Amsterdam. This clinic has a direct collaboration with the Amsterdam UMC. This means that you will encounter a wide spectrum of pathologies during the clinics.
You will join a team of diverse specializations. Orthoptists, ophthalmologists, surgical assistants, and fellow optometrists together form a driven team that strives for optimal care for our patients. And with colleagues from the Amsterdam UMC who also work at the clinic, there is an abundance of knowledge and expertise to brainstorm with. As an optometrist at the eye clinic in Amsterdam, you have the privilege of working in a setting brimming with opportunities for self-development. As an Optometrist in our eye clinic in Amsterdam, you receive and guide patients during their consultations and examinations. Together with the physician, you conduct specialist clinics such as; retina, orbit, vitreoretinal, and glaucoma clinics. Here, you will encounter situations that you would only encounter elsewhere in academic environments. Additionally, you will also conduct independent clinics for follow-up examinations, with an experienced physician always on hand to look over your shoulder if necessary.

Postoperative examinations
Performing, among others, visual field examinations, OCTs, and biometry
Administrative tasks such as processing patient information and drafting consultation reports
Attending paramedical and patient consultations
Thinking along about the improvement of our processes
You are an optometrist who can work independently, but also performs well in a team. You have good communication skills. You easily adapt your communication to the person you are facing. This enables you to properly map the wishes of the clients and translate them into an appropriate treatment trajectory. Additionally, you bring the following with you:
