TK Maxx is a department store. Here you will find everything you expect from a department store: beauty products, clothing, shoes, toys, and interior styling. In our store, you ensure that our customers are happy. For our store management, this means that every day is different, because our deliveries are also different every day.

Due to the scale of the department store, the Assistant Store Manager position is perfect for anyone with experience as a Store Manager in conventional retail. Make no mistake, you will receive responsibility and autonomy from the start while supporting and replacing the Store Manager where necessary. From day one, you can apply your expertise and leadership.

We will give you all the training and support you need, so that you can further develop into the Store Manager of your own department store.

• Have (had) ultimate responsibility for a commercial location with a turnover of more than 2 million EURO

• Have experience with various personnel management tasks

• Have P&L expertise with commercial insight

• Ideally have a background in a fast-paced, commercial environment and a creative approach to visual merchandising

• Have an open and accessible management style where you treat everyone at every level with respect.

• Have the flexibility to sometimes change locations, in order to gain more experience.

• Together with the store manager, you are responsible for achieving KPIs and monitoring budgets;

• Conducting all kinds of conversations regarding HR topics such as recruitment and selection, performance, absenteeism, and progression

• You are co-responsible for sales, stock results, staff scheduling, and personnel policy.

• Creating daily rosters and assigning tasks, so that everyone is deployed and involved fully effectively.

• Being the example for your team: You motivate, inspire, and develop your team leaders and store employees by providing direct feedback, support, and recognition.

• You safeguard the TK Maxx model. With your commercial insight, creativity, and product knowledge, the department store always looks representative.

• A contract with fixed hours (from 32 to 38 per week)
