Roller Operator

• At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience within our sector; experience as a (roller) operator is a plus
• Driving license B (BE is a plus)
• You are flexibly deployable and do not find working in shifts or evenings/nights to be a problem
• Speaks and writes good to reasonable Dutch, important for  communication, safety instructions, and work orders
• A  proactive work attitude,  physically fit and accustomed to outdoor work

• A good salary starting from €22,- per hour depending on your experience.

As a roller operator, you are an important professional within the asphalt crew. You know, among other things, how and when to cut a joint and ensure a good rolling pattern. You also know how to adjust yourself well if something does not go quite as you thought. You also maintain contact with the asphalt technologist on-site; you share your knowledge and experience together. You are also alert to when you need water, diesel, or AdBlue. Depending on project size, this can be via the tack coat sprayer and/or water truck(s). As a rule, we refuel everything completely after working hours. Whether you prefer rolling with a tandem with or without a spreader, a three-drum roller, or a pneumatic tire roller, we always have possibilities in this regard. We understand that you probably prefer having a fixed roller within the crew.

Safety comes first and you work according to procedures and guidelines such as VCA and GPI. Additionally, you signal deviations and think along regarding improvements.

Would you like a day off, would you like to leave a bit earlier sometimes, or do you want to go on holiday longer? We are really not difficult about that. A 4-day work week is also negotiable.

With a close-knit team you will head out, and Strukton provides a neat and well-equipped company van. Sometimes it happens that due to distance or time, you would rather stay overnight close to the work instead of driving back and forth. We have good arrangements for this via renowned hotels, including food, drink, and an extra allowance.
