The role

For De Baton, Saffier's newest residential care location in The Hague, we are looking for multiple nurses. De Baton offers a warm home to people with dementia and also features a Closed Recovery Screening department.

The location has since opened and is fully in development. This means that you not only provide good care, but also think along about how we can further improve care, collaboration, and quality every day. Together with your colleagues, you ensure a safe, warm, and pleasant living environment in which residents feel at home.

What you'll do

As a nurse, you work with residents with psychogeriatric and/or somatic care needs, including residents in the Closed Recovery Screening department. You are responsible for coordinating, performing, and monitoring nursing care and have a signaling role regarding complex care and behavioral issues.

You observe, analyze, and report changes in the health and behavior of residents and translate these into appropriate care interventions. You perform nursing technical procedures, establish (co-)care goals, and actively contribute to the evaluation and adjustment of the care and living plan. Additionally, you coordinate closely with fellow nurses, caregivers, (residential) care coordinators, and practitioners. With your expertise, clinical eye, and calmness, you ensure safe, person-centered care and contribute to a pleasant and stable living climate for residents.

Where will you work?

De Baton is the newest residential care location of Saffier in Southwest The Hague. In this modern location, 136 people with dementia live in small-scale living groups of 11 to 12 residents. The warm interior, spacious communal living rooms, and smart technology ensure a safe, homely environment where residents can move as freely as possible.

What makes working at De Baton special is that you become part of a new location where everything is still fully in development. You get the chance to help build a cohesive team, new working agreements, and future-oriented dementia care. Together, we create a place where residents feel at home and where employees are given the space to think along, take initiative, and further develop themselves.

De Baton is located in the Hague district of Bouwlust/Vrederust, close to the Westland and easily accessible by both car and public transport (bus 25 and tram 4).

  • Pension accrual at Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn, 8% holiday allowance and 8.33% end-of-year bonus
