Forward Deployed Engineer

• You have experience with AI-driven applications (LLMs, RAG, agents);
• You are a strong engineer (previous programming languages and knowledge of deployments) and build production-grade systems.
• You understand how modern backend architectures and MCP/API integrations work. You know patterns such as enterprise integration patterns and data modeling approaches;
• You have experience with Public Cloud (Azure and/or AWS) and know how to deploy, automate, and scale systems (IaC, CI/CD) (certifications are a plus);
• You think in systems: performance, cost, and reliability are standard parts of design for you;
• You are a creative builder: you deliver, iteratively and under pressure. From working software to advisory work;
• You move easily in complex environments and make things concrete quickly;
• You feel at home in a scale-up where change is the norm and enjoy working alongside the client;
• You speak Dutch and live in the Randstad.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you are at the heart of this challenge. You translate complex issues into concrete assignments. You contribute to commercial thinking, help develop proofs of concept, and know how to assemble a team and motivate them to realize mission-critical solutions.

What are you going to do?

You explore, ask, and design
Understand the client's core value stream and then explore what the current solutions bring. Discover patterns that can be translated into modern solutions. You create architecture, advice, and working prototypes until you see in the eyes of senior stakeholders that you are exactly on the right track.

You work with modern AI stacks
You build with LLM APIs (such as Claude, OpenAI, Llama), vector databases, and RAG architectures. You develop multi-agent workflows and integrate AI into existing systems and processes.

You translate intent into action
You are a partner for developers, engineers, and clients. You make complexity understandable, advise on possibilities, and reduce technology to smart choices. You use visual tools to enable conversations and build bridges between business and IT. You build yourself, ensure things are built, or a combination. It is all about realizing the solution.

You safeguard quality
A solution continues to evolve; you know that new technology must be integrated. Artificial intelligence, Rust, vector databases, public cloud versus a private hardware stack, and much more. You are broadly developed and know where you need expertise from others.
