• At least 3 to 5 years of experience within transport, freight forwarding, or logistics. And additional leadership experience within an operational logistics environment.
• Demonstrable knowledge of transport procurement, pricing, and rate structures.
• Good knowledge of European road transport networks and logistics processes.
• Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) is a plus. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with KPI management.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

• MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in the direction of Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport.

You will lead a team of dispatchers and freight forwarding specialists, optimize transport processes, and contribute directly to the growth, service quality, and profitability of our European transport activities.

As LTL & FTL Manager Road Logistics, you are responsible for the daily management of the Freight Forwarding Team consisting of 7-10 FTE and the operational performance of our transport activities.

You combine people management with process optimization, commercial insights, and operational control. Together with your team, you ensure efficient transport solutions, excellent service levels, and satisfied customers. This is a full-time job.

• Leading and coaching the Freight Forwarding Team. Conducting performance and appraisal interviews.
• Monitoring and improving transport performance, lead times, and service levels. Optimizing load factors, consolidation, and deconsolidation processes.
• Analyzing KPIs and implementing improvement projects within Road Logistics.
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs, quality guidelines, and operational procedures. Identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks within transport planning.
• Maintaining relationships with transporters, carriers, and logistics partners. You assist in onboarding transporters within our operations.
• Aligning capacity, volumes, and forecasts in accordance with the demand from our customers.
• Responsible for transport procurement, spot pricing, and rate determination. Monitoring transport costs, yields, and operational quality.
• Acting as an escalation point for customers, sales, and external partners. Stimulating a positive, result-oriented, and customer-oriented working environment.
