Tax Employee Returns and Levies

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking with at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
• You have experience with indirect taxes, such as VAT, excise duties, and ecotax;
• A good dose of positive energy and the desire to make it a success together;
• You work accurately, take ownership, and feel responsible for correct returns and compliance;

• A gross salary between €3,900 - €5,100 per month (based on 40 hours).
• An annual bonus of max 5% of your annual salary based on organizational objectives.
• 30 vacation days (with the possibility to buy or sell vacation days) and 8% holiday allowance. You build up a pension through participation in the Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds voor het Levensmiddelenbedrijf (Industry Pension Fund for the Food Industry).

As a Tax Employee Returns and Levies, you will work on this daily by ensuring our VAT, excise, and ecotax returns are submitted correctly and on time. You will collect and analyze large amounts of data, process corrections and mutations, and monitor the quality of reports and processes. Additionally, you will support Indirect Tax audits and perform controls for our Internal Control Framework. In this way, together with your colleagues, you ensure reliable tax processes and help Jumbo remain compliant and future-proof.

• Handle hundreds of annual VAT, excise, and ecotax returns for the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Collect, analyze, and enrich large amounts of data for tax returns.
• Review returns and ensure correct and timely submission.
• Process corrections and mutations based on tax analyses.
• Manage the tax configuration of systems and reports.
• Resolve data quality issues and discrepancies in reports.
• Support IT projects using your expertise in taxes and levies.
• Work together with Finance and IT on smart process improvements.
• Optimize processes surrounding VAT, excise, and ecotax.
• Support Indirect Tax audits.
• Perform controls as part of our Internal Control Framework.
• Ensure Jumbo remains compliant with reliable tax processes.

• This concerns a position for at least 24 hours per week.
