In the position of Assistant Buyer, you work as an extension of the buyer and are responsible for the administrative processing and guidance of the purchasing process and the flow of goods. You work independently in a small team. You deal with order processing, ordering methodology, the development of reports, and the assortment. You are the hub in the process and manage internal and external contacts with the stores, the suppliers, and the warehouse in a smooth, efficient manner. We are looking for a talent who will be given opportunities for career growth.

• A field-related higher professional education (HBO) in a commercial direction;
• A strong commercial sense;
• Strong and accurate in management and administration;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Decisive, resourceful, and entrepreneurial;
• Resilient to stress in combination with the ability to set priorities;
• Good command of the English and German languages;
• Numerical insight and analytical thinking skills;
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge of SAP.

In short: you know better than anyone what it means to purchase the best products so that we satisfy and retain our customers.

In the position of buyer, you are responsible for the entire purchasing process of certain product groups. Your focus lies on the availability of the right products, the right delivery time, and of course, at the right price. Negotiating with (international) suppliers is not foreign to you. On a periodic basis, you perform various reports. You are also proactive in thinking along with the further development of purchasing processes and advise the Head of Buying on strategies that you believe will yield the best results. In doing so, you investigate whether there are (new) products on the market that could be interesting. You also manage the retail pricing policy for your product groups. Furthermore, you take rapidly changing market conditions into account and adapt the purchasing and pricing policy accordingly. You work independently in a small team and manage your Assistant Buyer.

• A field-related higher professional education (HBO) in a commercial direction.
• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the toy industry.
• You have a strong commercial sense.
• You possess strong negotiation skills.
• You possess good communication skills and have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
• You are decisive, resourceful, and entrepreneurial.
• You are resilient to stress and can set priorities well.
• You have numerical insight and analytical thinking skills.
• You have a good basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint, and knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• You are available 40 hours per week.
