Shopping Experience Associate (Småland & Outdoor Area), IKEA Delft, 24 hours/week

IKEA Delft is looking for new colleagues to strengthen the Shopping Experience team within Customer Relations. We are looking for someone who will primarily take on the Greeter duties, but also helps with other areas. In this varied role, you will work within Småland, the loading zone, as a Greeter, and with our shopping tools. 

You ensure that both customers and their children have a great shopping experience: from a warm welcome upon arrival to the moment they load their purchases.

• You are one of the most important first faces of IKEA.
• You welcome customers enthusiastically and actively approach them.
• You answer questions and refer customers to the right place.
• You are assertive, proactive, and not afraid to take the initiative yourself.
• You supervise children and ensure a safe, cozy, and clean play environment.
• During holidays, you help with activities.
• You have contact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• You help customers with loading their purchases where necessary.
• You keep the outdoor area tidy, safe, and organized.
• You are visibly present and help customers proactively.
• You ensure that sufficient shopping carts, baskets, and other shopping tools are available.
• You keep these tidy and organized.
• You ensure that customers can start their shopping visit well.

Additionally, you can support in other areas within Customer Relations, such as the checkout. No two days are the same!

Who are you?
You are energetic, customer-oriented, and enjoy having a lot of contact with people. You switch easily between different tasks and feel comfortable in a busy retail environment.

Additionally, you are:

• assertive and proactive;
• a true team player;
• strong in communication;
• physically fit and enjoy being active;
• fluent in Dutch and have sufficient command of English.

VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct)
A VOG is mandatory for working in Småland. After a successful first interview, we will ask you to provide one.

Working hours
We are looking for a colleague for 24 hours per week. You will work varying shifts and are available on Friday at the very least. Weekends and evenings are also important.

The working hours are generally:

• Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 21:45;
• Saturday between 09:00 and 21:45;
• Sunday between 09:00 and 18:45.

You will receive your schedule 4 weeks in advance and may indicate 1 fixed weekday on which you are not available.
