The role

What happens when you build something yourself? How does a robot work? And can you actually make everything you imagine? With Humankind's TechniekBuzzzz, children discover it for themselves!

You bring engineering and technology to life at our childcare centers and BSO locations in the Liemers. With challenging experiments, creative making activities, and plenty of room to experiment, you stimulate the curiosity and creativity of children.

For this special position, we are looking for an independent and enthusiastic pedagogical professional who loves to come up with new ideas, takes initiative, and brings a significant affinity for technology!

This is who you are. By nature.

What you'll do

With your own TechniekBuzzzz bus, you will regularly be on the road to our childcare centers and BSO locations in the Liemers. The bus is full of materials and possibilities to introduce children to engineering and technology in an accessible way.

You are the one who brings the TechniekBuzzzz to life!

You devise, organize, and guide challenging activities for children of various ages. Think of building, researching, experimenting, programming, discovering, and creative design. In doing so, you make use of real materials and encourage children to come up with solutions themselves and try new things.

You look at what occupies children, connect with their interests, and challenge them to think just one step further. It is not about the perfect end result, but precisely about the joy of discovering, trying, and starting again.

And the beautiful part? You get a lot of freedom to shape your role yourself. You make plans, manage the activity budget, think about new activities, and determine how you fill your visits to the locations. Of course, you coordinate this with the relevant locations and colleagues.

You also work together with other involved organizations and partners in the fields of technology and education. You share experiences, gain inspiration, and think along about the further development of the technology program.

So, you work independently, but you are part of a larger whole. And of course, you work together with the pedagogical professionals present at the locations.

We offer you

A special position in which you can fully combine your pedagogical qualities and passion for technology!

  • A varied position for 16 hours per week.
  • Your own TechniekBuzzzz bus with which you drive to our locations.
  • A great deal of independence and freedom to shape your tasks and activities.
  • Room for creativity, personal initiative, and new ideas.
  • A position in which you can truly make a difference for the development of children.
  • Collaboration and inspiration with colleagues and external partners.
  • Opportunities to develop yourself through education and training.
  • A thorough induction program, so that you can start your work well-prepared.
  • Salary according to the CAO Kinderopvang, scale 6. Based on the mentioned salary scale, this amounts to € 2,681 to € 3,684 gross per month for a 36-hour work week.
  • An end-of-year bonus of 8%.
  • Discounts on various outings and products via Weg na het Werk.
