  • Significant experience within Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), Building Services, Electrical Installation, HVAC, or related construction environments.

The role

At Hitachi Energy, you will help deliver the HVDC converter stations that support the Dutch energy transition. As a Site Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor, you will provide technical oversight and support across multiple HVDC construction projects throughout the Netherlands, ensuring mechanical and electrical installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Construction Managers, Site Managers, contractors, engineering teams, and commissioning specialists, you will act as a key point of contact for mechanical and electrical installation activities.

You will support project teams in resolving technical challenges, maintaining quality compliance, and driving best practices across site operations.

This role is ideal for an experienced M&E professional from a building services, electrical installation, HVAC, or construction background who enjoys working across multiple projects, advising stakeholders, and contributing to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects.

As a Site Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor, you will provide technical support and oversight for multiple HVDC projects within the Netherlands, ensuring that mechanical and electrical installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with Construction Managers, Site Managers, contractors, engineering teams, and commissioning specialists. In this role, you will act as an important technical sparring partner for installation activities on site. You will support project teams in resolving technical issues, monitor quality processes, and promote best practices within complex project environments.

This position is ideal for an experienced professional within electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, building services, or HVAC who enjoys working across multiple projects and wants to contribute to the realization of essential energy infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical oversight and support for mechanical and electrical installation activities across multiple HVDC construction sites.

  • Monitor installation progress and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements.

  • Support contractors and site teams in resolving technical issues and identifying practical solutions.

  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and safe working practices.

  • Review and support the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), and associated quality documentation.

  • Monitor installation quality, identify non-conformances, and support corrective actions to ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, and commissioning teams to support successful project execution.

  • Review red-line drawings and as-built documentation to ensure installation records remain accurate and up to date.

  • Support construction readiness, commissioning preparation, and project handover activities.

  • Share lessons learned and best practices across project teams to drive continuous improvement.

  • Providing technical oversight and support for electrical and mechanical installations at multiple HVDC project sites.

  • Monitoring the progress of installation work and ensuring that work is carried out according to project requirements, quality standards, and schedules.

  • Supporting contractors and project teams in resolving technical issues and identifying practical solutions.

  • Promoting a strong safety culture and overseeing compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Reviewing and supporting the implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), and other quality documentation.

  • Monitoring installation quality, identifying deviations, and supporting corrective actions.

  • Coordinating with engineering, quality, commissioning, and construction teams to ensure successful project execution.
