The role

What you'll do

You will be working within the HEMA transport team. With approximately 100 of our own HEMA drivers, we ensure the daily supply of 678 stores throughout the Netherlands. As a shunting driver, you will work from the distribution center and ensure that vehicles are in the correct position for an efficient transport process. You will work in a two-shift system from 06:00 to 16:00 or from 14:00 to 21:30. At our Distribution Center, you can make use of the company restaurant. If you grow into a truck driver role, your start times will be between 04:00 and 07:00.

As a shunting driver, you ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely at our distribution center. Your responsibilities are:

Moving trucks, rigid trucks, and trailers on the premises.
Preparing vehicles for departure according to the schedule.
Coordinating with planning, drivers, and the workshop.
Checking vehicles for visible damage and peculiarities.
Contributing to a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
